Aman molli: Concert with Mosaic

Saturday November 16, 2024, Aman molli music concert with Mosaic, followed by a jam. From 20:00 to midnight. Donations welcome.

Mosaic’s band members met in Rotterdam. Rebetiko (greek urban folk music of the 1920s-50s) has been a formative factor for all three of them, both as people and musicians, and holds a very special place in their hearts. They want to create a mosaic of their musical and non-musical experiences associated with this genre, and convey the atmosphere that made them love it.
Mosaic members are Athina Anagnostou (voice), Katerina Bogiatzi (bouzouki, voice) and Athina Koumela (guitar, voice). Special guest appearance by Yvonne Melissa on violin.
The doors will open at 8pm, and music will start at 9 pm. Towards the end of the concert, there will be space to join the musicians on stage for a jam, so bring your instruments!

Saturday 6 April 2024, Aman molli concert with Primi Secondi. The doors will open at 8pm, and music will start at 9 pm. Donations welcome.

Primi Segonti are an ensemble of immigrants and students located in South Holland. Inspired by the similarities of Rotterdam with the maritime and multicultural background of early 20th century Piraeus, they are playing inter-war Rebetiko and post-war Urban Folk to ease the nostalgia of their “home”. Athina Koumela (Guitar, vocals), Vangelis Christantonis (Baglama, vocals), Kostas Patsis (Bouzouki, vocals), Orestis Strymponis (Bouzouki, vocals), Chris Toitos (Bouzouki), Yvonne Melissa (Violin, vocals).
