Thursday March 9th 2017, Music by Ken Parsons (rebel folk). Volkseten Vegazulu at 7pm. Benefit for Dutch Artists in Action. Music from 9 till 10pm
Ken Parsons the local fame is back solo on the stage at Joe’s Garage, with his guitar and celtic harp. A proper anti-politics English man, a rebel, a poet, a singer songwriter, a storyteller and an entertainer, Ken has been active in non-commercial spaces, in squats in London, Amsterdam and Berlin since the 80’s. As a kid, Ken would go to see gigs from Attila the Stockbroker. Since years, Ken has been hosting and booking in Amsterdam the yearly gig from Attila the Stockbroker, Barnstormer and many other bands. Ken is also famous for the Comedy Nights all around the city. Ken is just back from a UK tour. In the pubs from Brexit England, there was a sudden interest in his protest and satirical songs. http://www.littleelfrecords.com/
