Alerta Alerta Festival is a three day antifascist benefit event coming up on 6/7/8 May 2016 in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Expect three days of music, workshops, talks, films, art and food.
We want to bring together different cultures and music styles under one united antifascist front plus to provide a platform for antifascist folk to get together, have fun, meet and discuss. Especially now that we can see far right groups developing all across Europe including the Netherlands. We have seen across Europe that organised ultra-nationalist and Neo-Nazi movements are growing and pose a threat to anyone that opposes their world view.
The idea is to create an event that is open to everyone and we hope to achieve that by providing a multifaceted event that combines talks/lectures with self defence workshops/kickboxing to kids activities and tattooing plus more.
All the proceeds from the benefit at Joes Garage will go towards the organising costs of the festival such as printing promotional material and merchandise. The festival itself will be a benefit for AFA Nederland and local antifascist causes/prisoner support (tba).

Volkseten Vegazulu is a people’s kitchen, every monday and thursday, 7pm, vegan food for 4€ or donation. All benefits go for social & political struggles. No reservation.
We’re always looking for cooks. Any help is welcome in the kitchen. Experience not required. Enjoying it is a must. If you want to know which days are still available in the schedule, send an email to joe [at] squat [dot] net and book yourself the night. You can, of course, also participate by rolling up your sleeves and doing the dishes.
