Sunday February 9, 2025, Radical Sunday School: How to Run a Community Dinner. From 18:00 till 20:00.
Have you ever been to a community dinner or “Voku”, and heard the people say “Do you also want to do a Voku?” But how do you actually do that? Where do you start?
Vokus are volunteer run dinners where they usually raise money for some cause, group or person in need. In many places this looks like a 3 course meal for around 50 people.
This Sunday at Radical Sunday School we are hosting a knowledge sharing session where experienced cooks from different social centers and to-be new cooks can gather and learn from each other.
We will talk about: where to get started, joining to help out, portion control and quantity estimates, skip, food safety, allergies, kitchen safety and cleaning. And much more!!
