Vechtstraat 1, 5, 7 and Amstelkade 25 have been squatted beginning of March 2014. In the squatted block are now living renters, squatters and anti-squatters. Soon after, a new social centre, De Strijd, opened on Vechtstraat 7, with a give away shop, various workshops and a voku twice a week, vegan pizza nights, kickers championship. Real estate developer and politician Wim Oostveen is not yet bankrupt but will take on May 6th the squatters to court.
