De opbrengst van de maaltijden is bestemd voor de organisatie van acties en uitgifte van publicaties door ICAD.
Deze avond worden Koerdische maaltijden bereid: groentesoep, witte bonen met rijst (kurufasulye|) en salade.

Documentaire
Deze gaat over de massamoord door ISIS-terroristen in Suruc, een stad in Turkije bij de grens met Syrie, vlakbij Kobani. 32 jongeren werden toen vermoord die vrijwilligerswerk wilden gaan doen in Kobani. Om bij te dragen aan de wederopbouw. De documentaire gaat ook over Kobani, een door Koerden bevrijd gebied in Noord Syrie, wat deel uitmaakt van Rojava, autonoom bevrijd Koerdistan in Syrie.
Solidariteit met Kobani en Rojava
Het Turkse regime onder leiding van Sultan Erdogan mengt zich in de strijd met Syrie.Niet om de ISIS-ratten te bestrijden maar vooral om Koerdische stellingen te bombarderen.
Juist diegenen die effectief het ISIS-tuig bestrijden, worden aangevallen! De Turkse regering voert een hypocriete politiek. ISIS-lieden kunnen ongehinderd de Turkse grens passeren.
Sultan Erdogan van Turkije wil koste wat het kost voorkomen dat een autonoom Koerdistan tot stand komt. In Turkije worden veel en veel meer Koerden en linkse actkivisten opgepakt dan ISIS-lieden.
Rojava, bevrijd gebied in Syrie, kan een alternatief zijn in het Midden-Oosten, waar gewerkt en gestreden wordt voor sociale vooruitgang, directe democratie en gelijke rechten. Daarmee wil ICAD solidair zijn.

Sultan Recip Erdogan is bombing the positions of the Kurdish freedom fighters. The only ones who fought with success against the ISIS fascists were and are the Kurdish. We have seen that with the liberation of Rojava in Syria and the successfully defense of Kobani.
ICAD, International Committee Against Disappearances, has established in Istanbul in 1996. Direct reason was the disappearance of Hasan Ocak, a Turkish activist, in march 1995. Two months later his body was found. To let disappear is a manner of state terror to paralyze social protest against oppression and exploitation. Family, friends, political co-activists don’t know if their beloved ones are still alive. Not only political murders, tortures, extra-juridical killings, secret detention centers is a manner of state terror but also “disappearances”.
Disappearances, a method of state terror. Disappearances are practices of state terror. Specially in countries where exists a big difference between the rich and the poor. There where people resists in an organized way they have to do with all kinds of repression, so as disappearances. More than one million people has been disappeared since the end of the Second World War.
People who are political active, just like cadres of trade unions and farmer organizations, journalists, lawyers, human rights activists are potential victims. Paramilitary gangs and death squads let disappear those people. They can work under the protection of the state apparatus. Countries where “disappearances” are still practice are for example Irak, Syria, Afghanistan, The Philippines, Sri Lanka, India, Turkey, Kurdistan, Mexico, Central African Republic, Sudan, Congo. There where exists repression, there will be arise resistance. To let disappear is a manner of state terror to paralyze social protest against oppression and exploitation.
Activities
ICAD acts for making public disappearances, to give background information, the reasons, who are the responsibles, who gave the orders. ICAD activities are for example publications (international and via national sections), organizing demonstrations, picket lines, information meetings. ICAD supports actions of other solidarity and human rights organisations. All those activities which can be a contribution to reach the aims of ICAD.
ICAD, section The Netherlands, was and is for example involved with actions for and with Tamils in Sri Lanka, The Philippines, Kurdistan, Turkey, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan (Baluchi people).
