Various collectives, campaigners, unions, squats, autonomous spaces, ngos, activists are unable to organize and communicate without Instagram, Telegram, Facebook, Twitter. Some come to Joe’s Garage to talk about sustainability, equality, human rights, autonomy, emancipation, anarchy, freedom but still, they would like us to follow them on what they call “socials”. No thanks, no to surveillance capitalism! Joe’s Garage isn’t a dystopian Starbucks to give credit to your capitalist sponsors. Winners of the last Big Brother Awards are Meta, X and Telegram.
In the meantime, people have built and are still maintaining a whole infrastructure offering various services, new tools for squatters and activists, for the movement to communicate. Just to list a few of them on a local level, Disroot, Puscii, Squat!net.

A workshop to share and learn how to publish events, administrate a group, translate pages, import events further (your mail client, your calendar), get your Radar events displayed on a different website, a wordpress based blog, like https://noblogs.org/ or https://network23.org/ , as a widget or as a page.
If your events are already published on a website, on a wordpress instance, we’ll discuss how to import them in Radar, which wordpress calendar plugins are available, which ones to use or avoid.

How to display radar events from your city or social space on your website? Radar an agenda free of commercial interest.
Created by a community of groups announcing their own events, where the dominant power doesn’t decide if it’s worth a mention.
A tool we build together, to organise, socialise, educate.
A tool designed not to track its users, but break from the ‘facebook-like’ gated communities and to promote open sharing.
Radar exists for more than 20 years, since the very begining of Squat!net. Cities like Berlin, Zurich and Amsterdam were the first ones to join. The network never stopped expending.
Today in Berlin, Kontrapolis is displaying events originally published on Radar. Other collectives, spaces around Europe saw the same opportunity, for instance Koch Areal in Zurich, Disgaraca in Lisbon, Espace Autogéré in Lausanne, Nattsvart Verkstad in Stockholm, the Barricade in Utrecht.
Today in Amsterdam, various groups are making themselves visible on Radar. Not everybody has been swallowed by corporate facebook and twitter. We can only encourage you to make your collectives, spaces visible on Radar, even more if you are outside the Netherlands. We’re eager to know what you’re doing through a network like Radar.
