Gravenstraat 26-28 had been rotting away for a decade. There was a first attempt to squat the houses on September 12, 2021, during the Woonprotest. 61 people were arrested and police brutality followed this squatting action.
On April 27, 2024, on Housing Day (Woningsdag), Gravenstraat 26-28 is successfully squatted. Within a few days, the front gets some fresh paint and the house is named De Drie Duyfjes. Life is back in the house. Come support your local squatters!

Hi! we are a starting collective of neuroqueer people wanting to explore how therapy could be done in a collective, anti-authoritarian way. We think there are a lot of problems with the psychiatric system and want to explore ways that we can help each other outside of it. Right now were looking for more people also interested in this topic to join us and organise stuff together, so if this sparks your interest please come have a plate of food and have a chat with us!

Amsterdam BANGS is a politically charged joyride taking place all over Amsterdam in September 15th-21st. Get ready for a BANGING theatre and performance festival, organised by anarchists, artists, and activists, to take over not just traditional venues, not just the squats, not just the streets, not just your local Albert Heijn, not just your ING help desk but even your own home. BANGS is non-hierarchically and self-organised, anyone can propose their show, workshop, or performance, so long as it’s non-commercial and BANGING. We wish for BANGS to invite new breath for political movements standing for alternative/radical social and ecological justice struggles (queer-trans-feminist, anarchist, squatting movement, anti-fascist, anti-colonial, anti-racist, anti-capitalist….), as well as opening up Amsterdam to any kind of (experimental and radical) performative arts, taking place freely and collaboratively all around the city. The city is ours! Put on your most flamboyant fashions, clown couture, and celebrate the spells of wicked witchcraft in this time of carnival!

Benefit Voku for Darfur Women Action Group, Sudan, by SKRAPS Solidarity Kitchen

Monday 6 May 2024, Benefit Voku for Darfur Women Action Group, Sudan, by SKRAPS Solidarity Kitchen. Food served from 7pm, no reservation.

We are SKRAPS (Soup Kitchen for Radical Actions and Political Solidarity), a newly emerged cooking collective with the goal of transforming rescued food into tasty vegan dishes, and by that showing solidarity with national and international resistance initiatives.
On this Monday, we are cooking a wonderful three-course vegan meal from rescued ingredients in Joe’s Garage, raising money for “Darfur Women Action Group” in Sudan. “Darfur Women Action Group” is a women-led anti-atrocities nonprofit organization founded by a Darfuri genocide survivor to amplify the voices and empower the affected communities of the genocide in Darfur, both in Sudan and in the diaspora. It does this by providing genocide survivors with tools to combat violence, address massive human rights abuses in their societies, and work with others to prevent future atrocities while promoting global peace. Among other projects, they provide education for children living in camps, skills training, trauma counseling and psychosocial support for women survivors of sexual violence, as well as leadership and capacity building trainings for women.
After over a year of civil war in Sudan, the living conditions are worsening, and sexual violence is becoming more frequent. This is especially affecting indigenous people in Darfur, which have been subject to a government-led genocidal campaign since 2002. “Darfur Women Action Group” state “While the world turns a blind eye, we say no to the silent conspiracy against the Darfur genocide and decide to stand firm and make our voices even louder in demanding accountability, protection, and peace.” […Lees verder]

In the face of the genocide war waged by Israeli occupation in Gaza and the ethnic cleansing campaign in West Bank, where the Palestinian people are besieged that threatens their very existence, the Union of Agricultural Work Committees in Palestine is launching an international relief campaign. This initiative is a clarion call to the global community, an urgent plea for solidarity to provide tens of thousands affected by bombardment and destruction with food, water, and the essentials of life, ensuring their resilience and continuity despite the harshness of the occupier’s crimes.
This campaign is more than a gesture of aid; it is a stand against the erasure of a people, a testament to the belief that the dignity and lives of Palestinians are as sacred as any on this planet. We reach out to the world’s free spirits to echo the voices of the afflicted and convey a message of unity and support, to affirm they are not alone in this struggle.
The Palestinian people endure an unprecedented injustice and look to the world’s defenders of freedom to stand with them. This is a message of liberty and human dignity that must resonate across the globe.
