All Included Amsterdam for freedom of movement, the right of residence for migrants and fair development, is taking part in the action in Rabat/Morocco commemorating the 2nd anniversary of the massacre of Ceuta of the 6th of February 2014 when the Guardia Civil shot at least 15 sub-saharan migrants on Tarajal beach trying to reach the EU. “We are activists from collectives, associations, initiatives and various social movements. We fight for freedom of movement for all! We are from Cameroon, Syria, Mali, Eritrea, Senegal, Spain, Germany, Tunisia, Morocco, France and many more countries. We don´t accept any more deaths in the Mediterranean. We know it is possible to ‘live together’ and to consider a political system of equality and respect for human rights, because we have been building solidarity networks for years. The happenings on the 6th of February 2014, when the Spanish Guardia Civil killed at least 15 persons, who entered swimming to Ceuta, are not only spanish or morrocan issues, they are global issues. So, we united us in a common transnational struggle for the demilitarisation of the borders, the freedom of movement and global justice.”

Benefit for Centro Social Libertario in Cuba

Centro_Social_Libertario_CubaMonday February 8th 2016, Benefit for the new anarchist/libertarian Social Center opening in Cuba. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm. Music (Tim Loud & X Ray Cat from Leeds, UK) from 8:30 till 10pm!

The borders are opening after many years, and changes in Cuba predict new possibilities and dangers for the Cuban society. It is essential, therefore, reinforce the work of those that from Cuba defend a critical, anti-capitalist and antiautoritarial system-world , the same machine expressed every day more clearly in the national life.

After more than a decade of social and political activism in the Critical Cuban Observatory and five years as part of the Alfredo Lopez Libertarian Workshop (Tlal) , we have identified as the main difficulty for our performance and expanding for our social impact, the lack of a permanent base, which allows to build community and shape our identity stronger and lasting way.

Who we are?

The TLAL is a specifically anarchist collective, which has hold a systematic activity in recent years, radicalizing their proposals and keeping a strong anchorage in Cuban society and their communities. We have succeeded in a short time to ser the annual Libertarian Spring Meeting in Havana, where we seek to merge thought and anarchist or libertarian action on the island. In addition, we issued a modest printed newspaper, Tierra Nueva!, with some troubles we tried to bring our critical vision to ordinary people, that which is majority and do not have access to Internet in Cuba, as well as promoting libertarian, anarcho-syndicalist, and naturist ideals, present in the country’s history before the insurrectional victory in 1959, and whose impact beats hidden in the interstices of the now a day Cuba.

Moreover, we have embarked in major organizational efforts, along with other comrades in the region. Has been the foundation of the Central American and Caribbean Anarchist Federation network in March 2015 containing a large expansion and development potential. […Lees verder]

VluchtBus Benefit

Thursday February 4th 2016, VluchtBus Benefit, Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Vluchtbus_Chios_3VluchtBus is a solidarity bus that runs to several border areas to support refugees. They are currently out in Chios, Greece working with refugees to provide food and other supplies. They are also busy with an autonomous centre that has been squatted and are in the process of fixing it up. The refugee crisis at the moment means demand is very high and that their limited funds are running out quick. The local NGO’s and GO’s have supplies to hand out and to help refugees at the border, but due to the tense situation and their protocols, they are not willing to do it themselves. VluchtBus helped local private initiatives to hand out these supplies. Come on down to Joe’s Garage on Thursday 4th for some top notch dinner as every penny helps or if you can donate here are the banking details: Bank account name: Vluchtbus, account no: NL06 INGB 0007 1702 49  https://vluchtbusweb.noblogs.org

The property that is squatted, is currently the base from which is working a collective of approximately 15 people, including Vluchtbus. This collective has taken it upon himself to serve breakfast every morning. Although the building is not yet ready to really open to go for refugees and there is still busy chores. Other cooking groups will provide the lunch and dinner. In addition, there is no organisation to distribute the food so it is crucial that there are groups of people to cook and distribute it around. Daily misery in Turkish prisons

The fact that all the torture and murder related cases filed against prison administrations end in favour of the same. Arbitrary prohibition of visiters, letters and publications. Isolation terror, physical violence, frequent violation of various rights, Violation through many different methods against the right to use other languages than Turkish in speaking communication and writing. Prevention of watching the legal progressive TV channels. Arbitrary implementations to hinder medical treatment. Hindering the prisoners to send their scientific and literary productions to publishers. Bad conditions of heating, nutrition. Expensiveness of the vital needs which are only allowed to be bought from the prison canteens. The transport difficulties of families to visit their relatives in prison. Benefit for Aid Delivery Mission

Monday January 18th 2016, Benefit for Aid Delivery Mission. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Delivering aid to an ever changing refugee crisis
The Mission: An ever changing and chaotic refugee crisis calls for a flexible approach, therefore we are combining an extensive experience of mobile kitchens and providing food, with our ability to reflect on what is needed, where and when.
Thousands of people are stuck around various borders in unsupported makeshift camps, so far the winter has been forgiving, but undoubtedly that will change.
We are based on voluntary work depending on donations, but we need help, especially financial support to cover transport costs and food supplies. http://aiddeliverymission.org/

Volkseten Vegazulu is a people’s kitchen, every monday, 7pm, vegan food for 4€ or donation. All benefits go for social & political struggles. No reservation.

We’re always looking for cooks. Any help is welcome in the kitchen. Experience not required. Enjoying it is a must. If you want to know which days are still available in the schedule, send an email to joe [at] squat [dot] net and book yourself the night. You can, of course, also participate by rolling up your sleeves and doing the dishes.

Vluchtkonvooi Benefit

20160107_Vluchtkonvooi_BenefitThursday January 7th 2016, Vluchtkonvooi Benefit. Volkseten Vegazulu, 7pm.

Who are we? We are a group of individuals from Amsterdam, united under the name Vluchtkonvooi. Since september of this year we have organised several trips to the southeast of Europe, in order to help stranded refugees on their way to their end destination. We are all from various backgrounds, but we agree on the fact that in this context of crisis, we need to engage with everyone who needs help. We’re curious about the people we will meet on our convoys. What are the stories of the refugees we meet? How can we pass these stories on to European residents, so that people will choose to welcome them? While lending a hand, we’re trying to find answers to these very important questions.

What We Do? As a refugee convoy, our aim is threefold. First, we will be bringing humanitarian aid supplies to stranded refugees coming to Europe. Second, we will be providing logistical help along their often harsh journey. Third we will provide help to voluntary groups locally. In doing so we hope to provide a small sense of relief and a feeling of being welcome in Europe.

Volunteer– Our work consists of short-term direct help on the places it is most needed. We therefore cannot say exactly when we will come into action on forehand. However, since we are a small organisation, we depend fully on volunteers to make our missions possible.
